To use more than one Skype account on the same computer at the same time you need to start a new instance of Skype.  From the Windows taskbar, click Start > Run (or press the Windows and R keys on your keyboard at the same time) In the Run window, enter the following command (include the quotes) and press OK : "C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /secondary If you get an error message, copy and paste the exact command from this page and try again. Windows creates a file called Thumbs.db for folders that contain pictures. The Thumbs.db ( .DB ) file caches a thumbnail version of the pictures in the folder, making it quicker to view the thumbnail images each time the folder is opened. The Thumbs.db file is often viewable when the "Show Hidden Files" option is turned on in Windows. To activate this setting, first open a folder in Windows. Then choose Tools → Folder Options... . Click the "View" tab of the Folder Options window and check the option that says "Show hidden files and folders" as shown below. Click Apply in the lower-right corner of the window to apply the changes to the current folder.   WWW   prefix (short for World Wide Web) that precedes URL addresses is an indication that the Web  address exists on the vast network of the World Wide Web. Sometimes in  a URL the "WWW" is followed by a number, such as "WWW1" or  "WWW2." The number that follows the "WWW"  indicates that the data  being retrieved by the Web browser is gathering the information from a  different Web Server than the one that serves the typical "WWW" address.

Public sector telecom operator, BSNL, which recently launched extremely low cost tablets along with two mid range tablets, has got a tremendous response from Indian consumers. The three tablets, bundled with its connection, are in the price range of Rs 3,499 - Rs 12,500. They are manufactured by Noida based Pantel Technologies. LAS VEGAS:  Acer  unveiled the world's thinnest laptop computer as an array of "ultrabook" rivals prepared to debut this week at the Consumer Electronics Show in  Las Vegas .  The Taiwan-based computer titan will begin shipping Acer Aspire 5 models in the second quarter of this year, with prices to be disclosed in coming weeks.  "That S5 is quite significant," analyst Tim Bajarin of Creative Strategies said after the Acer press event.  "It looks like the thinnest and lightest, and it sets the bar for the rest of the ultrabook vendors," he continued.  The  Aspire S5  has a 34-cm (13.3-inch) screen and is 15 mm at its thickest point. LONDON: Social networking giant  Facebook has acted to stop the spread of a new computer worm  that has stolen over 45,000 login credentials.  According to computer  security  experts, the Ramnit worm  has been spreading since April 2010, but was only recently adapted to target Facebook details.  A "worm" is distinct from a normal  computer virus  in that it can reproduce itself without needing to attach itself to an existing program.  The new threat to Facebook  users  was highlighted recently by Seculert, an Israeli computer security firm. It said most of the users affected so far are British or French, The Telegraph reports.  "Our research lab identified a completely new 'financial' Ramnit variant aimed at stealing Facebook login credentials," the firm said in a blog post.  "It was fairly straightforward to detect that over 45,000 Facebook  login credentials  have been stolen worldwide, mostly ...

Bajaj Auto unveiled India's latest ultra-low-cost car on Tuesday, a 200cc four-seater that looks set to compete with the Tata Nano for the title of the world's cheapest auto.  The group gave no price for the low-emission vehicle which will have a top speed of 70 kilometres an hour   (43 miles an hour), but the build quality indicated it was pitched firmly at the bottom of the market. The "RE60" is the first foray into the passenger car market by Bajaj, a motorbike and rickshaw specialist which entered into an ultimately aborted alliance with Nissan and Renault in 2009 to develop the vehicle. Group managing director Rajiv Bajaj said the core market for the RE60 would be owners of three-wheeled motorised rickshaws who wanted to upgrade to four wheels, but it was also for anyone who "wanted to take it home." Bangalore: IISc had a special group of visitors this week - representatives from the German Research Foundation (DFG). The objective? Research in collaboration with IISC's materials science department. The Foundation's representatives visited the campus as part of a visit to Bangalore. Smartphone maker Apple has singled out India for raising the price of iPhone 4 while reducing its storage capacity, soon after launching the new model iPhone 4S in the domestic market at the highest price in the world. The company has raised the price of iPhone 4 by 10% to Rs 37,900. Yet, Indian customers are now getting an 8GB handset, instead of the 16 GB handset they could buy until last week for Rs 34,500. This is a departure from Apple's practice worldwide. In Singapore , for instance, it reduced the price of its earlier model by S$100 to S$788 when it launched the iPhone 4S. Often, it also gives freebies to customers who buy earlier models when it launches the new product at similar price points. The new prices make it cheaper for Indian customers to buy the iPhone 4 from abroad. Samsung Electronics plans to invest a record 38 trillion won ($33.9 billion) in facilities and R&D next year, a 27 per cent jump from an estimated 30 trillion won this year, local media reported, citing Samsung and industry officials. Edaily reported that the company plans to sharply boost spending on its "system LSI business," which includes microprocessor chips used in Apple's iPhone and Samsung's Galaxy S, and OLED displays mainly used in Samsung's mobile devices. Social networking giant Facebook has removed several controversial pages that have been heavily criticized for making jokes about rape . The group pages, tilted, "You know she's playing hard to get when you're chasing her down an alleyway" had 194,370 likes on Facebook, and was widely criticised by victim support groups. Facebook said there is no place on the social networking site for content that is "hateful, threatening, or incites violence." However, controversial postings may remain if administrators add a tag stating they are humorous or satire, the BBC reports.   Facebook said it took the action because the pages broke its terms and conditions. country's No. 3 software services exporter, posted a 1 per cent rise in quarterly profit, beating street estimates, helped by a weaker rupee and rise in spending on outsourcing by overseas clients. Bangalore-based Wipro forecast third-quarter revenue of $ 1.50 billion to $ 1.53 billion from its IT services unit, which accounts for three-quarters of its total revenue, a rise of 2 percent to 4.1 percent from the second quarter. Tracking 18 different Android phones shipped in the U.S. through the middle of 2010, the Understatement's Michael Degusta found that most have not received major OS upgrades or even minor support patches , even though they're still under contract. Pointing to one example, Degusta said that the Samsung Behold II on T-Mobile was supposed to be upgraded to Eclair, aka Android 2.1. But by the time the phone hit the market, it was already two versions behind, and then Samsung never bothered to upgrade it. Online scammers are already attempting to capitalize on the death of Steve Jobs with a bogus offer to Facebook users for free iPads in his memory. Computer anti-virus firm Sophos said that the scammers urged Facebook users to click on a link to register for free Apple Inc products, then requested they complete online surveys or enter gambling sites. The scammers profit when users click through those links because they get commissions based on the amount of traffic they bring to the websites, said Graham Cluley, a researcher with Sophos. While this particular scam did not involve any computer viruses, online criminals could be planning more malicious campaigns focused on the death of Jobs.
