Jailed former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today moved the Karnataka High Court seeking anticipatory bail in three of the five cases against him relating to alleged irregularities in denotifying lands. Justice H Billappa adjourned to November 3 hearing on the bail plea of the 68-year-old BJP leader, giving time to counsel for complainant and advocate Sirajin Basha to file objections to it. Basha had filed the complaints in the Special Lokayukta Court. Yeddyurappa, who is currently lodged in the central prison at Parappana Agrahara on the city outskirts, has already filed a plea for regular bail in two cases. Special Lokayukta Judge N K Sudhindra Rao had on October 15 rejected his bail plea in regard to these two cases and remanded him to judicial custody -- first to October 22 and later extending it till November three. New Delhi, Oct 30 (IANS) With his health improving, former Samajwadi Party  leader and an accused in the 2008 cash-for-votes scandal  Amar Singh  was Sunday discharged from the  All India Institute of Medical Sciences  ( AIIMS ) here and went to his residence. Amar Singh, who was admitted to AIIMS Sep 12 due to an infection in his kidneys transplanted in 2009, was taken in an ambulance to his Lodhi Estate home, accompanied by his aide and  Rampur MP Jaya Prada . A bearded Amar Singh was welcomed home by his children, amid slogans from supporters belonging to his outfit  Lok Manch . He had been granted bail by the  Delhi High Court  Oct 24 on humanitarian grounds. He had been arrested Sep 6 for his alleged involvement in an attempt to bribe MPs ahead of the July 2008 parliament trust vote, in what came to be known as the cash-for-votes case. Tracking 18 different Android phones shipped in the U.S. through the middle of 2010, the Understatement's Michael Degusta found that most have not received major OS upgrades or even minor support patches , even though they're still under contract. Pointing to one example, Degusta said that the Samsung Behold II on T-Mobile was supposed to be upgraded to Eclair, aka Android 2.1. But by the time the phone hit the market, it was already two versions behind, and then Samsung never bothered to upgrade it. As another example, the Motorola Devour on Verizon was already one version behind on the OS when it debuted in early 2010. Less than a year later, it was three major versions behind. Online scammers are already attempting to capitalize on the death of Steve Jobs with a bogus offer to Facebook users for free iPads in his memory. Computer anti-virus firm Sophos said that the scammers urged Facebook users to click on a link to register for free Apple Inc products, then requested they complete online surveys or enter gambling sites. The scammers profit when users click through those links because they get commissions based on the amount of traffic they bring to the websites, said Graham Cluley, a researcher with Sophos. While this particular scam did not involve any computer viruses, online criminals could be planning more malicious campaigns focused on the death of Jobs.
